Infrared thermography, or thermal imaging, is a non-contact technology that measures infrared wavelengths to determine temperatures from a safe distance. This makes thermal cameras critical for predictive maintenance programs and Condition monitoring. With IR we can detect moisture and air pressure leakage. In the pictures above you can see in first illustration the weather stripping of an exterior door allowing cold air to pass through. In the second image you can easily see how ineffiecient and improperly install attic access can be. The image to the right shows conductive heat loss through studs and blocking.
